Terroir

Vineyard in the heart of the Premier Cru terroir of the Montagne de Reims:
Ludes, Chigny-Les-Roses, Rilly-La-Montagne.

Chalky soil.
Cordon & Chablis pruning.
Manual harvest.

Elaboration

Coquard press 4000kg.
Complete malolactic fermentation.
Vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats.
Manual riddling on desk.

Aging in oak barrels then 8 years on slats in the cellar.

Sugars: 0.70 g / L naturally present in the wine, no addition during disgorging.
Alcohol: 12.6% vol.

Tasting

Clear eye, brilliant, yellow color with golden reflections.

Expressive nose with honey and dried fruits aromas.

Fleshy, full and round palate with aromas of white fruits.
Beautiful longevity supported by a well-melted woodiness.
Rich and delicious wine.

Blending

85% Chardonnay aged 12 months in barrels
15% Pinot Noir aged 12 months in barrels

Advices

Can be stored for 1 year, protected from light.
Serve at 7-8°C.
